This blog started out as "Notes on a long road to switching to a Mac and the experience thereafter". The first posts talked about my switcher story, and those after I got the computer began the second part. At first, I thought I'd come to a stopping point at the end of the switcher story, but I continued in part two on with the "experience thereafter". However, after the settling in period, it seemed that I'd come to another logical end. Getting busy with other things and trying other blog ideas didn't help. I toyed with the idea of having a few blogs, each with a specific focus. This is good if you have tons of time or have a few people contributing to it, but the problem is that each one becomes very sparse when they are all done by one person with not so much time.
So, this sort of third part will continue the "Mac experience" thread, but actually get back to more of what the blog's title is about, which is the Apple philosophy - the "white pill" one metaphorically takes when entering that world. Some people want to take it and enter, but others perhaps stray in to look around for a while, then take it later. Once here, we all look at each other in a way that perhaps two strangers each riding Harleys do: each understands the other implicitly in that context and has to give a nod of acknowledgment and congratulation for their decision. Each might have completely different views and behaviors outside of that context, but that is okay since you have something else to talk about that you agree on without resorting to common topics where you might be at odds.
When it comes to the Apple philosophy, it seems to me that some still don't get it - especially some of the more seasoned Apple pundits. I'll also have the odd Mac or iPod tip, pointers to nifty Mac software and hopefully fresh perspectives on Apple and Apple products.
